Demential Awareness Day - images from the event, Croydon, May 2018

Friday 18th May 2018, from 10am – 4pm

Braithwaite Hall, Katharine Street, Croydon, CR9 1ET

In the UK, there are about 850,000 people with dementia; it is estimated that around 400,000 people have dementia but do not know it. By raising awareness about this condition, it is hoped that more people will be diagnosed earlier, giving more time for them to come to terms with future symptoms.

If you’re worried that you, or someone close to you, may have dementia,or you are the care for a loved one who has demetia, it can be difficult to talk about.

That’s why this Dementia Awareness Day is all about opening up.

Monetary Solutions together with Alzheimers Society, Dementia Action Alliance Croydon, Bluebird Care, Civil Wills, Croydon Council, Right at Home UK and Gracewell Care Home are concentrating our efforts on raising awareness about Dementia and support local community.

At this antastic event there was the opportunity to speak to local professionals in this field, listen to the seminars and get the answers to some of the questions that many of us have.
